October 20, 2014 is Erin Barlow’s first day at the Turner Memorial Library. She comes to us from the Public Library in Gnadenhutten, Ohio, where she was the library director.
Erin began her college education by focusing on Library Science earning her Masters of Library Science at the University at Buffalo, SUNY Buffalo, New York with a concentration in Reference.
She continued her education in Library Science to become certified in the State of Ohio.
Her many years of library experience includes skills from her previous position where her duties included: the selection and purchasing library materials, policy and programming development, public relations, and supervising library personnel. During that time, Erin acted as the Coordinator for Small Libraries Action Council, President of the Tuscarawas County Literacy Council as well as Chair of the One Book-One Community Project.
Erin and her husband have always wanted to live in the State of Maine and will be residing in Presque Isle with their dog, Rusty.
